This bike was built up in 1997 from the frame only and a donor bike. I had bought a Proflex 854 in 1994 when those were the rage. Once I beat that bike to hell I used some of the parts to create this climber. This is my favorite bike ever for climbing. The frame is stiff so you really feel the power going forward. While this is not even close to comfortable compared to a full suspension bike the climbing prowess makes up for it. The fork is a 1996 Judy SL on it's 2nd cartridge. I never raced this one however I did race my Proflex back in the day. By the time I built this I was racing criteriums exclusively. This bike is solid. With general maintenance it has been awesome. I built up the back wheel myself with a White Industries Rock Shox hub and Mavic rim, double butted DT spokes. The front wheel is a custom Wheelsmith wheel built up in 1995 to a S*****o LX hub. Carbon wrapped aluminum bar is cool. Old school Onza bar ends drilled out. Grip shifters, Sachs rear derailleur, XT front deraileur, Maxxis Brian Lopes Bling tires.
